Quotes for Term Cases
Our term quote engine and electronic applications, available in the left navigation on any page in the Advisor Center, use tools from iPipeline. Any other quote requests need to be made via email (instructions to follow).
- Assessing the need – there are many tools to assess the client’s real insurance needs. If you don’t have such a tool in your financial planning software you may wish to use one of these:
Be sure you are covering off whether needs are time-limited (usually a term case) or life-long (some type of permanent product).
- First – take the tour of the term quote engine using this video.
- When quoting cases under $1M be sure to use the product group named either “under $750,000” or “$750,000 to $1,000,000”
- Be sure to review the information on the Accelerated Underwriting page to know all your options.
- Not All Conversions are Created Equal – When running term quotes please keep in mind that not all conversion options are created equal!! For the latest information please refer to this chart. Also, one carrier has look back rules which you will want to consider. Check out this piece by Lincoln so you are aware of their rules.
Quotes for Permanent Products
- The fastest and easiest way to submit requests for permanent product quotes (UL, IUL, VUL, and LTC) is to use the Quick Quote FactFinder. Per the instructions on the tool, please send completed forms with as much medical information as possible to [email protected]. Please allow 24 business day hours to receive your quotes.
- For DI quote requests please complete the DI Proposal Request and submit to the same email.
- For health care or other underwriting concerns please complete a Medical Pre-Screen or email the case details to [email protected].
